I really like the sayings "you learn something new everyday" and "you're never too old to learn something" because they are absolutely true. I am always learning and reading about new things that I had absolutely no knowledge of previously and I suppose it's why I have that slight bit of anticipation deep down inside of me, because I know that at some point during the day I will learn something completely new.

Oh yeah Rosyrain I so hear you. I am replacing two major appliances. It has been so frustrating especially with the dishwasher. I plan to put my house on the market in the Spring too....and buy another and I know it is going to be anything but a smooth running ship. I am hoping that preparing myself for problems in the future are going to make it easier...when they are encountered. Managing our expectations is everything,

Days when I want to destroy all paperwork? You bet!
That is the one thing I hate doing... paperwork. I'm ok at getting it done but I'm never sure how to fill forms etc. and quite frankly, it's one of the only things that can stress me. Damn paperwork. :D But to be honest most of the time I do everything well in advance so I don't have to stress about it.

I can definitely relate. Situations in life always come with bumps and barriers. It is okay to just take a break from it all and to regain some energy.

It will get better. We all go through trials like that, but they end. Just keep your head up and keep moving forward. Everything will work out for you.

I'm definitely going through a period like that myself. It kind of feels like I'm taking half a step forward and then a whole step backwards. I do think however my main issue is perception. Things are only as bad as they appear to be. I generally like to look at things from many different angles, so I usually have all my bases covered. When one thing I'm putting the majority of my energy in starts falling a part, it feels like my whole world is falling a part, because I focus so much of my attention on it and I clearly just have some serious control issues. In spite of all the issues with the paperwork and the drama, always think of all the good things that you have and most importantly the people in your life. I find that looking at all the un-quantifiable and priceless things you have in life really puts everything into perspective

I feel like that with two children and trying to get the job I want which in turn requires experience but you can't get experience without the job. I don't understand what they want you to do! No one here will open this position to someone with no experience even if you went to school for it! Ridiculous.

I appreciate your post. Thank you for sharing, really. Sometimes life is hard. Though, I do not want to be a mental midget lol. Society and mankind certainly respect tenacity in the face of struggle. I encourage you to go forth and continue with your goal. Salute!

It is a matter of perspective. You see, your day sounds lovely to me. And I do not mean your day in comparison to my day. I mean your day in comparison to all of my days. I am not being a crybaby because I am used to it, I am just saying. You have plans to buy a house and you have roadblocks and paperwork to ruin your day. I am not trying to be cynical here but I am 28 years old and I have no job, I live with my parents in a small house and I know I will never buy a house even if I save money from 5 lives. And I Live in Serbia where even if I had a job my salary would be, as an English teacher, around 300 Euros in one month. That is 350 in Dollars I think. But I cannot find a job in the thing I do so i have to work in the some corner shop or fast food, if I am lucky for 150 Euros per month. To give an example a pair of shoes here cost 150 Euros. A winter coat costs 150 Euros. A Playstation 3 costs 200 Euros. An I phone is 900 Euros, any Samsung smart phone is from 500 Euros and up. You have those cheap ones that cost 150 Euros. A lap top costs 500 Euros minimum. If you want to go to Montenegro during the summer to stay in the worst private houses out there you will need 20 Euros per night without a meal so you will need money to eat there. A slice of worst pizza in Montenegro is 5 Euros. You do the math and think what can I do with my 150 Euros per month that I do not have at all. Some 70 percent of people in Serbia never saw an ocean or a sea. And, we are quite OK if you compare to some African countries. So, yaeh, I had some bad days.

It is very instructive to read of your plight in the Serbian economy, and your next to the last sentence should give people pause for thought. We in the US have been blessed to have grown up with an economic & political system that gave people opportunities to succeed & prosper. But most people here don't understand the destruction done to our system by Barack Obama over the last 7 years, & to some extent by his 2 predecessors. But it will all catch up,and it may not be long before we will be experiencing what you are experiencing. We went thru it 80 years ago, and it will come again, only worse.
