Ah, the most evil thing? I don't see any evil in that, just a way to remind us that we are animals, rational animals sure, but animals even so.

My down days are when I believe the most that giving my daughter life was probably one of the worst things I could have ever done. I love her more than anything in the world, and knowing the world that I brought her into just breaks my heart. She's going to go through so many things that I would never wish upon anyone, but we all go through them. I don't even know what happens after we leave this world, and that scares me the most. I don't know where she will end up.

I agree with this. Not all days are bad but when we go through bad times we think everything is bad about our life. We can't see the good and the positive. Life always has a way of working things out. You just got to hang in there and go for the ride. If you are young and living at home or dependent on your parents, that won't always be the case. Someday you will be living on your own and you will get to live life the way that you want to. They won't have control of your life forever. Life truly is a beautiful thing and I hope someday Amin you get to see that!

As much as we want to believe that life is beautiful, that's not always the case for everyone. Some people are blessed to not go through nearly as many hard times as others. I don't think that we can compare our experiences to that of others to tell them that things will get better. That's not always true.

I agree with you on that. Everybody life is uniquely theirs to live. We have no idea of the other person's struggle or what they go through on a daily basis. People just try to be supportive and encouraging.

It's not all bad. And that's what happened when sin came into the world and the world became fallen. That's why there's so much ugliness in the world. But we can have true peace with Jesus Christ. That's the only true peace you'll ever have.

Ah, the good ol' existential crisis. You know, these days, with the world in as awful a place as it is, I won't say that giving birth is cruel, per se--but I am seriously concerned about what sort of world I would be bringing a child into. What sort of mess they'll have to deal with, what the planet will be like. That gives me pause, definitely.

Giving birth cannot be evil, start with the fact that it is because of our mothers giving birth-why we are here today and is able to experience the GOOD and the bad of life. Certainly, life isn't all rosy, but don't you wake up everyday thankful for being alive? and, don't you remain hopeful that you will achieve all your goals one day? so, why worry about your child in the same way? the first thing one should do it is aim to allow someone to appreciate life, just as you want to.

You do have a point, but an unfounded one. If you refer to giving life as in "evil given that there are already 8 billion people in this world", then I suppose you could put it that way and not have kids if you really wish, but you're denying your human nature. Actually, the whole life's purpose: living and reproducing to maintain the cycle.
