I love camping too. Spending long periods of time outdoors makes me feel so much better so I take every opportunity to camp out that I can (weather permitting, of course!). I usually have problems getting to sleep at night but never do when I'm camping out. Must be the fresh air and the sounds of nature.
I read the bible, pray, watch sermons, play with my kids and teach them, study, look up what's going on in the world, go outside and get exercise.
I do quite a few things in my spare time. I enjoy taking walks and bike rides in the early hours of the mornings, I enjoy gaming and I also enjoy doing a little bit of art. I'm a perfectionist at heart though so I often get a little disheartened when I cannot get something that I feel looks right. I really like studying history as well.
Right now, not much at all. I get out of my car, take my deliveries into the business, and walk back to my car. Along with a little yard work everyday, it's winter so there's not much to do, that's about it. At least I'm not lifting Budweiser weights 12 ounces at a time.
lol I love the honesty of "I just smoke cigarettes". Honestly I feel pretty bad about myself because I spend a lot of my free time watching YouTube vids and playing Solitaire. Completely unproductive, I know life is slipping by. I live in NYC, as well, so there's really no excuse to be so idle. At the same time though I just moved to Brooklyn after spending several years in Manhattan, so maybe the change in pace is just what I needed.
I really love reading, it can't take you to a completely different place in seconds. I also really like to being on the Internet, there are pretty interesting things here for everyone. And I also like to hang out with my friends, we always have a good laugh.
I just stay at home and enjoy my day with my family. In our place, it's much too stressful to go out even if my intention is to have a walk in the park or enjoy walking in the mall. Traffic and too much population is a daily stress where I live so for me and my family to be able to relax, we just spend a whole day at home during weekends. We simply slouch on our couch and watch TV or we play board games until the day is over.
OH and I do love being on the computer. It is my window to the world. I work on it, and play on it. Maybe I over use it, but to me, a day without the computer is like a day without sunshine. It is amazing how dependent we have all gotten on our electronic devices. They have kind of gotten like air. From young to old, we all seem to like our puters.
Lol, for me, I need recreation! All I do these days is wake up, do work, go to work, come home, do more work, sleep and repeat, sounds productive right? it really isn't..I need to be really doing things differently but everything takes time. Anyway, I try to walk every chance I get, I play with my newborn, I watch movies, I try to keep happy. Those are the things I do for recreation. I see days when I'll be able to do more
When I used to work as an analyst, I did some work on the side for private investors, people who traded from home (this was before Forex and other day trading platforms became popular). I can honestly say that some of those guys, trading with their own money, literally never rested from the markets. I mean in the sense that if they weren't sleeping they were at their home terminals trading the markets. I think some drank quite heavily, but that was about the extent of their "recreation". Personally, I don't think that that is actually the best lifestyle with which to trade. Resting and relaxing makes you a better trader, as far as I'm concerned.
