Nice job! Unfortunately for me I am not that good at trades. It's like I have this curse where I earn little to no money. You should definitely buy more and save up.
Buying put options is a fair bet although slightly risky imo. As I said above, it's really hard to know when tesla will hard-correct and since option values are time-dependent, I'd rather sell calls than buy puts.
I've always had a friend that was downright obsessed with Tesla and hoping to work his minimum wage job to earn enough money to invest in Tesla and hopefully make some profit. For me, I do agree with the overpriced nature of this market, I'm also considering acquiring a few shares!
The only way I'd sell calls on such a volatile high flyer with so much hype around it would be covered calls - I'd have to hold an underlying long stock position, because I'd be obligated to deliver if the price shot up past a certain point in a certain time frame. I typically buy pretty long range puts on more volatile names I'm long on as insurance, and I'll occasionally buy puts on a name I may not be holding a long position on - like this one. I usually prefer to write covered calls on less volatile names that I think are less likely to explode either way.
It's too overpriced. I knew the instant that it hit 260 that there's no way this can go up much higher. It shouldn't be any higher than 200 given that it just had its first profitable year. I admit though that I think the future is bright with tesla though if they can make a cheaper version with 300+ miles driving range.
Also you have to checked that Elon musk is also best in there work because they have create TESLA at top because that guy mind is very creative in that things you have to see this link to make your self very clear about Elon Musk CEO of Tesla Motors
Musk himself recently said he didn't even think the company would succeed when he started it. He saw it as a long shot, but he figured he was doing the right thing. Now he's worth many billions, but of course his net worth fluctuates as the stock price fluctuates.
That is a great way to make a little extra cash! Tesla is a nice car...if only I had the money to buy one. Electric vehicles are the way of the future. I am still new to stocks but I think anything hybid or electric would be a money maker in the long run.
I think that there is a future in Tesla stocks, but would not invest in them just right now. the stock is currently overpriced and there should be a correction coming through soon. If the stock falls below $180 I will definitely buy. My feeling is that the stock will start to really grow strong a year to 18 months from now.
I am currently holding off on buying anything until things in Russia settle down. I am very scared of another stock market crash. If things come around in Russia, I will consider TESLA. I still won't make any major moves until then.
