This was apparently breaking news, but no one really understands why. Can some Americans enlighten me here, because Palin is an object of ridicule as a politician. Does this make any difference at all, and is it because of Iowa? Does he need an endorsement from someone like her?
Palin still has the support of many Republicans. I think the endorsement certainly does make a difference because any of her supporters who'd have liked any other candidate may choose to support Trump. It's a win for Trump because Palin could have chosen to endorse Cruz . . .
I also think this is a big step for Trump as it will have gained him a few more votes as like you say, no matter what people think of Palin, she does still have a few supporters that will listen and follow what she says. The Trump for president campaign as been seen as a bit of a joke and maybe still is in a lot of quarters but it's starting to become unfunny now the more serious it gets.
I just wonder why people don't/can't think for themselves? Even if someone I liked endorsed someone I would not blindly follow them. That's me though, so maybe the wider brims of the electorate are more like sheep? Did Trump ask her to endorse him, because that's what most politicians do? As the news report I watched stated most Palin supporters would already be supporting Trump, they also said she did endorse Cruz for the Senate.
Maybe they can run together and call themselves the lunatic ticket! Better yet, they can start their own party! Call it the "I can see Russia from my house...and I'm in a New YOrk state of mind ticket." Rush supporters everywhere Unite!!
