This kind of thing doesn't surprise me, but I don't think it will encourage people to learn. Obviously it's geared to men, because why would someone being naked help you learn something quicker. The attention will not be on the words, and it's just a gimmick to get viewers.
Well I've never really been interested in learning a foreign language...until now that is! Seriously though, for the channel to claim that this is anything more than just a gimmick to get the people watching is nonsense. At least they should have the decency to come out and advertise it for exactly what it is, were not stupid no matter how much they think we are.
Definitely geared towards men. Not sure how much they will actually learn though. They will be too busy focusing on the teacher. It never ceases to amaze me what will happen next. It makes sense to somebody but I just don't get it to be honest.
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but really, how can they expect the people to learn when all the blood has left their brains? This is porn with slightly loftier "ideals". Maybe it would be better to simply employ instructors who are all vibrant, attractive and charming? They'll still attract plenty of clients, while hopefully weeding out (most) of the perverts.
To be honest I really don't know whether I should laugh or be amazed at the news. I know that this thing is no longer new because there are already some strip teasing weather news anchors out there but I really don't know if classes with nude teachers would even help in learning. I mean, the attention of the students will go somewhere else instead of the subject itself so I really don't see it as a good way to educate at all.
Porn is always going to be popular, so coupling that with something that isn't, is always going to be on the agenda. If it works or not is another matter altogether though. If I was wanting to learn another language, personally I don't think I'd be looking for the porn variation on it, that's for sure!
Lol, I don't think I'd be able to concentrate when all I can see is naked bodies. But to each their own, maybe this can truly help other people. I just hope that they wouldn't be seen by minors or maybe they have some requirements before you can register the channel to your home. But to be sure that the audience is truly learning, I think they better have some tests ready. Or all their efforts to teach people English will be gone the drain.
Many Hispanics are still in the mind set that the woman is the home caretaker and the man works. This means, the women are less likely to need to speak English. They also have a more primitive view of women in society. That said, it's not difficult to see why they would go in this direction. It will sell once word gets out, I would bet on it
It definitely caught the media's attention. The backlash of all this is that more people will enroll in the tutoring site, naked teacher or not. It's great from an advertising perspective but the ethics are a little shabby.
