As far as I know, it's the kind of call that determines whether or not there's a partner team sent out, or a lone officer. If there's a problem, he will be calling for backup.

I do believe it's only on the TV and movie screen where there's always a partner. :) Makes for better viewing. (Insert my eyes rolling here... but it's true!)

For this particular crime... how horrible for those poor women who were afraid to come forward. :(

And concerning the number of years... I think each "count" of a crime comes with a certain maximum (or maybe minimum?) sentence so that's why that happens. Plus I do believe that the higher it is, the longer it will be until parole can be asked for. Might be wrong about that... maybe someone knows for sure?

Yeah, I was thinking about parole as well. I think that's a weird way to give clemency for sex offenders. The thing is, they can act nice and obedient inside the prison even if deep inside, they haven't changed. I'm really sorry but I don't have any pity for sex offenders especially people like him who used his authority to take advantage of women. If he can stay in jail forever, the better. Even jail is such a lenient punishment for him! Just think about all the women he has taken advantage of...I just wonder why the victims have to suffer for years while these abusers enjoy food three times a day and sleep on their own beds.
