Yep, I don't think it's really incredible Strykstar as they get away with a lot of things that earn them billions, so such a fine not being peanuts doesn't hurt them bad.

Totally agree, even though I use Bank of America for my bank only because I move around a lot, I don't buy any of their crap products. It is only a place for the most basic need of storing my funds. I will change to a credit union eventually, but I am still deciding on which one.

That is crazy. I used to have Bank of America years ago and hated it. They had so many hidden fees it was ridiculous. I switched and have been happy ever since!

Where is my share? Those were some of the reasons why I hate Bank of America!
All of their cards start off good but then they can change the terms later.

That doesn't surprise me, however, I don't think they should have to pay that much. I personally believe that if you market stuff that someone doesn't need to someone even if you try and convince them they do need it they should be allowed to do it. Especially because think that if you try and convince people to pay for something it is their responsibility to figure out if they need it or not.

Bank of America is horrible. They are rotten over their ATM rates, and debit card rates. Chase, Wells Fargo, and US Bank are not much different. I hate them because their CD rates are an insult. Even more insulting are the fees they charge if you try to purchase municipal bonds from any of the aforementioned. The local credit unions do not offer much for savings, CD, and bond rates. That is why retires turn to Vanguard, Franklin Templeton, and Nuveen.

I keep my pocket money / bill paying money / checking in a local credit union. It's a pretty small amount of money (< $100k), but they do pay me some interest and have some other membership perks.

I have most of my investment money with Wells Fargo, and some in Goldman Sachs and JPM as well. I see these as the strongest and safest institutions overall.

What?!..this is unbelievable, those are the institutions that we trust most with our money and valuable documents and they dare do that, how can one shelter themselves from such damages?, taking to consideration that sometimes one can be blindfolded and lead into this ugly deception. What were their intentions after gaining such a huge amount of money...i wonder?

Just a query, can't an audit of these evil practices be implemented and a probable restructure of the same?...or its next to impossible?
