Yeah he certainly knows what he is doing, I do agree on that part. I wasn't talking about the way he runs his campaign, I think that is actually pretty solid... as you said more people vote on reality tv shows than elections. It's a big show and people are watching.

But some of his ideas are just silly and I certainly hope you are right concerning his will to actually make them happen.

Agreed, totally. While Trump certainly has his many negatives, comparing him to Hitler is beyond asinine, and I can't believe adults are actually engaging in said. Ditto those that compare Hillary to the Bohemian Corporal. Not only is it historically inaccurate, offensive, and just plain stupid, it is an example of Godwin's Law in the mainstream.

True. And I'd add for those who aren't aware, the wall already is the law. It is called the Secure Fence Act of 2006, it came into being almost a decade ago during the Bush administration. Due to corruption, gross incompetence, and lack of the political will, it still isn't completely done. Congress has, at least twice, tried to pass legislation that would get it done, but it hasn't happened.

While Trump's hubris on the topic has many on edge, and his idea that Mexico is going to pick up the tab is simply ridiculous, it is not like he isn't proposing something all that new. Or for that matter, hasn't already enjoyed broad support from the electorate, passed both houses of Congress, and was signed into law by a sitting President. So, it might be time for a chill pill. ;)

P.S. Plenty of other countries have strong border security, including physical barriers, so why ours somehow isn't allowed said is brainless.

The stupid thing about this is that there actually isn't very much real Trump support. Between the way the republican party utilizes first past the post voting with a large amount of contenders and the way delegates are selected it is easy for a candidate with a small minority of support to become the nominee.

What a sad thread, that people support a bully and thug. To be leader does require an element of ruthlessness, but one must lead by example. So encouraging people to punch each other or to be racist isn't really someone you want your kids to look up to. Yes, his policies may resonate with a large proportion of the electorate that have no idea how politics or Congress works. Perhaps the money would be better spent on teaching people how the government works instead.

In every country , smart people and idiots both exist. attract smart people by smart statements and grab support of idiot voters by speaking like an idiot in front of idiots. This is part of 'Democracy'. this is vote bank politics. pure democratic way to win election. Trump is using both ways. Giving only 'smart' statements, this way he can't win election. Idiots must also feel, Trump is 1 of them. then they will vote him. Any other Presidential candidate is not speaking like Trump. Hillary, Carson, Sanders etc. also failed in doing, which Trump is doing.

Bernie Sanders speak like smart leader he will loose votes of idiots this way. Hillary is using words carefully because she is in power, she will loose votes of idiots too. Only Trump is there, who don't fear to say whatever he want. If other brought guns, Trump is using M-777 Howitzers .

This is beauty of 'Democracy'. Every democratic country get leader selected by most voters, means citizens of country decide future of their country.

Trump is not only good businessman, but also 1 good politician. He is only candidate, who is showing, I love craziness and crazy people always have innovative ideas and who have innovative ideas, he can offer many things to citizens. this is enough to impress smart and idiots both.

I live in Eastern Europe and pretty much like his ideas. He is acting very bold but not fake. It's not trying to convince his voters that everything is fine and will be even better with him. He points out real problems and shows the way to solve them. He might be racist, sure. But deep inside we all are.

I'm not sure that we're all racist to some extent as you say, it's just we want to see what's best for our country first, and at the moment the refugee and migrant crisis is the biggest threat, therefore it's the topic that's getting the most attention.

I mean, it's completely okay to be racist, as we were born and raised like this. When we run into a different culture, oftentimes it all seems weird and creepy. We are full of stereotypes and prejudices. It's been scientifically proven that we feel more comfortable around people who are not much different compared to us. However, it's not okay to promote any kind of hate, including the one based on someone's race. Stated another way, you can think a lot of crap about "that Asian guy" or whatever, it's absolutely legal, but you'd better keep your mouth shut.

I'm not sure where you are from, but in an educated and civilized society it is NOT okay to be racist, and not everyone is born and raised that way. With so many mixed marriages, there are many children of mixed race and as such racism has supposed to have decreased. If that's what it's like in your country, I don't want to go there.

Nice strawman. Say hello to Godwin for us.

Agreed with this. Of all Donald's many negatives, and they most certainly exist, he's no dummy. Heck, you don't build an multi-billion dollar empire like he did by being a clueless schmuck.

I don't buy that he is racist. Oh, he might or might not be in his soul, but none of us can determine that. One very sad facts in American politics is when a certain side can't come up with real reason to criticize an opponent, they simply throw "racist" at them. It used to work with brutal efficiency, but since it has been so royally abused, it no long sticks. Trump may be inarticulate at times, and it is amplified when he speaks on a topic that brushes upon race, so the press can have a field day with poorly worded, out of context statements.

The phenomenon is not unique to the Trumpster and has been employed for decades. But as previously mentioned, it is no longer working. The sad irony, of course, is using that epithet so many times, real racists might fly under the radar.
