If homosexuality was a sin, then why are so many homosexual animal species? Why can't we simply accept that the bible doesn't only teach good things (and if you study the Old Testament you will see that I'm not bullshitting)?
The reason is because emotions and faith often trump facts. The more invested you are in a belief system, the more immune you are to reason.
It depends what you define as a sin as different countries have varying ways to define this. Society has evolved and become more tolerant of what wee classed as sinful acts, and were made criminal offenses. While adultery is still classed as on offense in some states, very few would prosecute someone for it, just as gay people are no longer prosecuted. It's not a sin, but a preference, but it is considered a sin in other countries.
They are nice people or not, don't make any difference. If your question is about religion, answer is , yes , being a gay is a sin because, it's against human survival cycle on this earth and All Religions support human survival. I don't hate Gays, because they are also part of 1 cycle. I am straight but, I will like if my country 'India' allowed Gay culture. because, we need that to balance population of India and to destroy some other evil mindsets of rapists and people who give unnecessary birth to children. In fact, I am anti-gay but i support, US Govt. decision. If straight people unnecessary increasing population of world, Gay culture is necessary and in future, when world population will get balanced, straight people will butcher Gays like they did thousands years ago. In 'Kama-Sutra' also written about Gays. Gays and Lesbians somewhere balance gap in between Man and woman. promoting gay culture is better than terrorism issues. Terrorism is a gift of straight people to world, because, they didn't gave importance to Celibacy as much required. about respecting them, nothing to say,as a religious person, I'm not against them or with them. I just knew Gay culture is important today to balance terrorism somewhere. everybody's individual choice, after Gay butchering, Celibacy will be promoted and after Celibacy downfall again Gay culture promoted, this is unstoppable cycle in human world.
I believe, Straight people don't follow Celibacy after marriage so, they are also doing sin.so, straight people who don't follow Celibacy also have no right to call them 'religious'. Either promote Celibacy or support Gays and wait for promotion of Celibacy these 2 choices all countries in world have. Today in world, Poverty, Unemployment, Terrorism etc. such issues are threat to human survival. Straight people who don't promote or follow Celibacy are responsible for that. Hetero-sexual ,Anti-women agenda is responsible for that. woman empowerment in world is most important today. when women empowerment will get done, Celibacy will get promoted automatically. ( everybody is a sinner in world, straight people too. but, I can't use that as excuse, because, It will push me in worst conditions and make me worst than an animal, i know, I did sin, I'm ready to pay price of that, nothing is free in this world . doing mistake is human nature, until i freed myself from my ego, i'm a sinner and i am not interested in staying sinner forever. everybody have same destiny and everybody will freed himself from his ego, just matter of time. nobody is here to remain sinner forever because human is not made by that way)
Nope, being gay is/was/never will be a sin. Homosexuality is a natural phenomenon and has been observed not only in humans but also in several animal species, from fish to sheep. Classifying it as a 'sin' just because somebody told you it is, IMO is a very cruel, unfeeling and pitiful thing to do. Especially when the people labelling it as such are often breaking myriads of laws prescribed in their holy book (eating shellfish/pork for example) and performing acts that are truly abhorrent on so many levels. (Raping young boys, or cutting off people's heads just because they don't believe in a certain brand of religion).
To follow animals, Human is not an animal, Animals don't have gift of Innovative brain, Human can see beyond sex, animals can't. If Human followed animals then human will destroy himself like any other animal species. That's the reason Religions support human survival. Animals have no god, they stick to ideology which suits to their species.Animals do nothing to protect their species. they born as animal, die as animal. human can do journey from moron to Genius, animals can't. if behind Gay, ideology is like an animal then, It have no life. animals do sex in particular season, they follow sex rules better than human animals. If weak and sick people find happiness in animal's sexual life. its easy way, they will destroy themselves by their own choice. no guts to walk on hard way. No, there is nothing said in the Bible about gay people. Said directly. Especially, modern-day gay people. Moreover, the Bible itself is kinda an outdated thing and barely can be applied to the modern society.
Your view is flawed for one reason....... Your view is flawed for one reason! God gave humans free will! Therefore humans have the choice of committing sin! This is why they have no excuse on judgement day! Because they CHOSE to do it! Also, those who quote the Bible saying people should not judge others are also incorrect. As "to judge" in the context of the bible means to rule over someone as in being a king etc... With that said, Christians are to love the sinner and hate the sin! We should not hate homosexuals or treat them badly! Nor should they expect us to embrace their lifestyle as it is in fact against Christian beliefs! I do have friends that are homosexual. But, they know that I do not agree with their lifestyle. I love the sinner and hate the sin. Also, the excuse of animals being homosexual holds no water because we are not animals! Animals, at times, are driven by the need to procreate! It does not mean they are homosexual. It means that their drive to procreate overrides the sense of the natural process! Meaning, they are not choosing to be with the same sex. They are only trying to procreate at any cost and that drive alters their natural sense. Humans have the ability to overcome this drive. This is why they can and will be held to account for this and any other sin.
