What exactly is so unfortunate about you disagreeing? People can disagree absolutely nothing wrong with that, it's the cornerstone of a pluralistic society. I like having conversation with people who disagree with me.
I guess I should have said REASONABLE people can agree that murder, theft, rape are wrong.
Show me one person that disagrees, I bet I can change there mind in 5 seconds when I tell them I will rape their spouse, kill their children and steal everything they own.
Arguments against this typically break down when you make it personal.

But that misses the whole point of my post.
I don't trust religious peoples sense of morality, because it's forced upon them and they just create all sorts of absurd ways to get around it.

It's like the "Sabbath mode" on ovens. If God says you can't perform work on certain days, then you can't perform work. How in the world can you find a loophole or trick a being then expect me to believe that being is all-knowing all powerful is okay with it? It's just so ridiculous.

Ohh I didn't mean it like that. I meant it in the way "unfortunately there are people who think these things are fine".

Yeah. A reasonable person wouldn't do any of those. But it looks like there are millions and millions of unreasonable people around.

hey, we psychos know often know perceived right and wrong, some of us just don't care. some of us do. i for one am a psycho who cares about what people think and how they feel, but i'm still a certified psychotic person :) doc note and all.

anyway, this is such a silly question, especially because the bible is full of immoral things practiced by the big man himself, such as mass culling of sinners (but it's ok cause he did it) and do you know how many christian or catholic dudes are in trouble for having beards? if the will of jesus didn't wipe away the old testament, y'all are in a LOT of trouble lol.

seriously though: good morals don't come from the bible. they come from interacting with society and making/observing errors and seeing how they impact the world. some people simply do not see one's error as such, i.e. murder and rape, for example. i personally believe rape is objectively wrong, but someone may not, as they do not see it as erroneous. one should judge an error according to it's impact, was it traditionally negative i.e. the person you involved is now traumatized, injured, angry? you may have erred. it's really very simple. when you don't have a series of laws to pilot you, you must cultivate some brand of logic to continue interacting with the world.

edit: a good abject to consider; many famous serial killers revered god or a higher power
