At a just-concluded nuclear security and global terrorism conference...
This immediately reminded me of the infamous Nixon White House tapes' 18 minutes of missing audio. At the time, newspaper press and network TV news relentlessly covered the story. History repeats itself.
Obama just flat out refuses to put the words "Islamic" and "terrorism" together. Absolutely amazing, pathetic behavior.

Based on Obama's 7-year performance as U.S.A. President, he's been incompetent, corrupt, a fool. Security for U.S.A. and its legal citizens isn't his #1 priority.
He refuses to identify America's enemies, the Islamic terrirists. His antagonism against Israel is also very disturbing.

I would reason that using the term Islamic terrorism is simplistic, it is a simple way of referring to a complex situation. The term has the potential to even aggravate the situation on the ground since terrorists with political aims hide behind religion to gain acceptance and radicalise in order to gain recruits. This term has become the signature of Islam and has the domino effect of engendering a negative result with regard to deradicalization efforts.

Maybe the reason Hussein Obama doesn't want to link terrorism to Islam is because he knows more about Islam than almost everyone else and the more he is unwilling to call radical Islam what it is, it just makes the conspiracy theory [re: Obama is a Muslim] appear to be true. Who knows? Maybe he hates the term because he is a Muslim.

Thank you for being the only one here who actually understands the situation, and looking at it by using logic and reason.
I know, GASP! Logic? Reason? These have no place in modern political discourse!
Do we call it "Christian terrorism" when a planned parenthood location gets sot up, or a homosexual gets murdered, or an abortion Dr gets shot?
Of course not! I would actually be comfortable with "Sunni" or better yet "wahhabist" terrorism.

"Islamic terrorism" is a BS term dreampt up to keep people in fear of a vague enemy so the defense industry can keep playing with their toys in the sandbox.

It's as if everyone is too scared to call these 'acts of terror' exactly what they are, terririst attacks by Muslim extremists. It's alright the politicians coming out saying that not all Muslims are terrorists, but we already know that.

But we also already know that these terrorist act'a are carried out by Muslims, so it's only understandable that people are having major concerns about the whole religion in general.

Islamic Terrorism ? what i say ? I can say only, Obama failed as a world leader and loosing support of NATO countries too. Some countries need 'war' for stability and Nobel Peace prize winner 'Obama' making world more than hell by postponing that. If in next 2-3 years, more countries joined 'Nuclear Club', there will be no control over global economy and economic growth. as much time will pass, worst will get more worst. Competition in Weapon Technology will rise more and more. Countries will waste more money on 'defense budget' than public welfare.
Poverty, unemployment rising in world, can you stop that by any peaceful way ? if no, then no solution except war.

I believe that president Obama is just being polite and this is the only thing I really appreciate about him. He is a true gentleman. If you put ISLAM and TERRORISM in the same context or sentence you traumatically offend every Muslim around the globe. People that practice Islam are not all terrorists and it is offensive to those terrorist who are not Muslims. Only a small-minded person could think otherwise than this. Surely you have some friends who are Muslims and not terrorists.

I guess it's all about being politically correct. However, I should say that all those terrorists have nothing to do with the traditional Islam. That's probably why such politicians as Obama don't want Islam to be associated with something really negative. Maybe it's all about protecting innocent and peaceful Muslims from prejudices.
