Well, it's a sensible thing not to underestimate your opponent. A classic example of this is the story of the "Tortoise and the Hare." Because the hare was lightning fast and the tortoise was extremely slow, the hare surmised that there was now way that the tortoise could beat him in a race. The hare goofed off and fell asleep, whilst the tortoise slowly plodded on, by the time the hare woke up and rushed off the finish line, it was was too late and he was beaten by the tortoise.

This is a perfect example of how not run a campaign. Never let your guard down no matter what the odds

Well I have to be honest I never thought that it would actually come to this point, but I cannot say that I am too surprised given our current political climate. I would like to think that the main factor in him actually having a chance is that there are no other candidates out there, which is certainly true, but I also just had a personal loss of faith in a lot of people. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

You are right on that. It seems that the Democrats is seeing Trump as a worthy contender only now. Maybe they thought Trump's popularity was only a joke or maybe just a hype that will die down sooner or later. And now that it is nearing the homestretch of nomination and Trump is still comfortably on the lead, even the Republicans should take heed and stop their bickerings. If they will not support Trump then definitely the Republicans will go to the dogs. As the saying goes, it's now or never.

No. He isn't worthy and he doesn't have any vision at all. He hasn't even come out with any policy stances. His campaign is still running on ignorance and sound bites. Just because he managed to fool enough ignorant people to get himself into contention doesn't mean he is worthy of anything. If the republican party didn't use first past the post voting in primaries he would have never gained any steam to begin with.

I don't find Trump as a threat, American voters are smart he's not going to win anything except an award for the best wig. Anyone have any news on which nominee Obama is supporting? I think from past administrative choices he will choose Hillary.

When one of Trump's communications staff (Stephanie Cegielski) resigned and wrote an open letter, it just confirmed what most people thought; that he didn't think he would get as far as he did, and he did it because he could and could afford it.

She admits he never had any real policies, and when tackled on them he evades the question. Trump has had a good campaign to appeal to those who want to hear certain things, but the reality is most of those things aren't going to happen. The Mexican wall for one, I still can't believe people think that's an answer.

Trump winning president speaks greatly of the quality of America's voting populace. I do not understand why rational individuals would even consider someone with zero political experience. Running a country is not the same as running a business. I just hope this hype over Trump would die down. Hillary is a much better choice. It's a no-brainer.

I think Bernie would be a better choice but as it's highly unlikely he will get the Democratic nomination I guess the lesser evil would be Hillary. But it appears that Trump might not get the nomination. He stumbled in Wisconsin. It'll be a lot harder to get the 1237 delegates he needs to get the nomination.

Bernie is only down by 6 in NY as of polls from today. He can easily make that up just from turn-out from the Wisconsin win. The problem is he stumbled yesterday and you can start to see happening to him what is happening to Trump, the Media is turning against them... maybe not turning against them, but starting to ask real questions that show the shallowness of their policies. I think Hillary and the media can paint Bernie together with Trump as bumper sticker candidates.

The other problem Bernie is going to have is California and college students. By the time California gets to vote, the kids will be home for summer break which makes it harder to gather them in mass like he has been doing. It is interesting though, if he beats her in NY, I think she has huge problems and if that lasts until California and he can win there.. it will be tough for the Dems. Having Superdelegates decide the winner is no different for the Ds than having Trump get the most votes and not get the nomination for the Rs. If Bernie can keep Hillary from clinching just using state delegates, and he has won Michigan, NY and Ca... man, there will be trouble for the Ds if the superdelegates are what puts her over.

I say lets go all out.. let´s not just have a 3rd party candidate, let´s have a 3rd and 4th party candidate. Trump and Bernie!
