Paid things in politics have become very common nowadays, unfortunately. People are selling out in order to get some easy money. If I was offered to participate in a paid act as a supporter/protester, I would simply refuse. All those people just don't think in a long term. They won't get paid for every day If that person gets elected. However, If they genuinely support them... that's fine.

There are enough people who don't like Trump that I don't see why anyone should be paid to protest. I think walk into any liberal grouping and you will find people who would willingl protest at Trump rallies if they could get time off of work and so forth. I just don't see where that would be a problem getting people to protest.

It's about it being easy and convenient. Plus, paid protesters behave in the way they are paid to behave. It is a ridiculous practice however, and both sides do it.

As I said, you can go into any really large church in the south and find leaflets in their welcome area for paid trips to protest stuff. Sometimes it isn´t cash, but it is a ´welcome bag´ filled with all types of freebies. Every year Disney has a gay pride day, and every year for the weeks leading up to it you can sign up to get paid to go protest against it.

There was a huge scandal about 15 years ago which led to the downfall of Ralph Reed and the Christian Coalition. It worked something like this. The Christian Coalition had huge protests in Texas against the opening of casinos there and the legalization of gambling in Texas. All over Texas the Christian Coalition used churches to rally people to fight against the evil of casinos.

Turns out, the Christian Coalition was being paid by casinos in Lousiana... they weren´t worried about the evils of gambling, they were worried about less Texans coming to Louisiana to gamble.

But the money trickles down. The people from the churches are given ´bags´ full of goodies and sometimes cash.

It was funny because I got a lot of hate because I wrote a blog and posted what I thought was a funny picture from my church parking lot. It was 3 buses being boarded to head to disney to help protect the sanctity of marriage, but I shot the photo at such and angle that I got the buses and the front church sign, which was announcing the wedding of two people who were previously divorced.

Here is what you have to understand. We can have ideological differnences on a huge range of issues. But it is naive to think that both parties do not use the exact same tactics to push their positions. If the Rs or Ds ever use a tactic and it works, that tactic will be used by the other side the very next time.

Every tactic that the Koch bros use that works, Soros will use. Every tactic that the ACLU uses that works, the NRA will use.
