Just for grins, I went searching for the latest labor participation rate. In February it was a pathetically low 62.9. Just look at the BLS 10-year data set. Yep, a booming economic recovery... sure 'nuff.

Exactly. The official unemployment rate is complete and utter nonsense because so many have given up on work, are forced to work part time jobs, or multiple part time jobs. The labor participation rate tells the real story. Anyone who is actually paying attention, and isn't a partisan hack, knows the economy is complete mess. Obungle's approval rating may ebb and flow, but that doesn't mean the present economy isn't a disaster. It is even worse considering BHO had nearly eight years, and increased the debt more than all the presidents combined, and yet the labor market remains horrid.

You can cherry-pick numbers. But again, look at what is reported to the masses. The unemployement rate is almost half of what it was under Bush, and is very low historically. The unemployment numbers were always suspect, but nothing changed in the way they are calculated going from Bush to Obama. I was just reading a report where the banks in the USA are massively outperforming EU banks. The stock market has done great under Obama after doing horrible during Bush´s time.

You said Obama was a train-wreck, but then explain why Hillary is wrapping herself around him, explain why his approval rating is 15% higher than Bush.

And this 47% number is not going to fly.. keep going Mitt... it is a meaningless number because it includes everyone getting financial aid for college, help to start a small business etc. And at the same time, everyone knows that corporations get much more in welfare than individuals. You can throw out some stats all you want, but everyone sees through it.

The results of another superTuesday are out, and there seems to be a clear indication that the presidential race will be a straight fight between Clinton and Trump. It's probably out of the question that Paul Ryan or any of the other remaining candidates from both sides would be able to make the cut.

Paul Ryan isn't putting is name in the hat. How much support does the guy really have? He was routed when he was on the Romney ticket and how much support can he muster with just a few months remaining.

Well he has come out and stated that he has no intention of running or being considered, but at this point I cannot say that I would be surprised if he is somehow thrown in the mix. I am not entirely sure how the process exactly works, but there are talks of a contested convention which could open some doors. It should be an interesting show to watch, and I use the word show very deliberately.

One thing for sure is that he is ambitious even though he says he won't run. I'm sure there are some heavy talks about how his political career can advance somehow though. I have no doubt he would have loved to run if he had got his act together sooner, but I do feel it's late in the game, but it is about how the delegates want to vote and who is going to be forward.

I don't think Ryan has any interested in being drafted. I would sooner see Kasich as an alternative, but he has only won one state, so I don;t see how he could make the case that he would be successful as a nominee. The sad thing is that the Republicans are not going to find anyone they can all agree on. They are extremely divided so who knows who will emerge from the fray as the candidate of choice.

It would be political suicide for him. He would crush Hillary (as would Kasich) normally, but if Ryan takes the nomination away from Trump and Cruz, there will be a ton of people who cry foul and that it is rigged, and they will stay home.

He is a smart guy, he is going to let Trump or Cruz lose to Hillary this time, then beat her next time, or even wait for her 8 years (very hard to run against a President). He is a young guy.
