Argh! I don't have an edit button any longer and I forgot to add my closing thought... as my post stands, it sounds as if I was getting off-topic, but I meant to close it by saying that it's my view on a lot of political issues... that what people see on the surface often isn't all that's there. That's what formed my view on politics years ago, and it stands.

I agree with you about the *people* in politics... I dislike party line stubborn bullheaded politicians with a fiery passion... but sometimes there really is more going on and it just looks as if they're making ludicrous decisions. Maybe sometimes there really *are* national security issues that they're not going to blab all over the airwaves.

I'm based in the UK and i kind of find it annoying how politics is here at the moment. I just feel like all the parties are just as bad as each other at the moment. Makes the decision when voting even harder. However, this position of our economy was our own doing during the Gordon Brown era when we was concentrating on what was happening to the economy when throwing money around and increasing funding in areas we probably shouldn't of.

Politics is the instrument for controlling and destroying people and countries. Politics is probably the biggest evil in the modern world. Politics is the number one way for money laundering, at least in my country.

I do not believe that politics are the end of a civilized world but, the stepping stones to becoming a civilized society. Many of you may not agree with me. I am sticking my ground with the fact that we must mind our own business and, focus on issues here at home instead of abroad. If we can do this we might be able to get this country in better shape. Focusing more on helping our poor and destitute to become productive members of society and, providing for our disabled and widowed.

Pretty much this. I will change who I vote for depending on what they're currently attempting to do. Yes, certain parties continue to gain my trust more than others, but sometimes I'll notice that the 'opposition' as such will actually be talking more sense than the party I'm currently supporting.

More and more I find myself voting with the party that convinces me they have the best position on each individual issue. Politics is a game that you have to actually reasearch and, follow the issues to know how each party votes. Sometimes they will say one thing and, never keep their word on what the said. They may even do the exact opposite. That is why you have to pay attention.

Come on, guys! You truly like to brag about the fact that politics is evil, but tell me honestly right now, wouldn't you imply yourself in this business if you had the occassion?

I believe politics is the same in the whole world just a few get lucky, because ther is not even one country that I have ever heard them say that it is okay, people are always complaining about their governmen, it seems as though majority of the elect go into it because of money and not to help its citizens.

Generally, you are unworthy and you're let to rot full-time. When the elections are to come, suddenly every politician cares about you, your family and pets. Definitely, not shady whatsoever.

I think that politics is a game of the skilled. A weak person will be eaten alive by the things that go on in the world of politics. There are no permanent friends or enemies in this world; they will argue one minute and share a cup of coffee in the next. The electorate must be wise not to get affected by what the politicians say or do.
