It seems an interesting phone, but I'm not sure if it's going to reach any success. I'm not sure yet if I would consider purchasing one of those, but I'm curios to find out more about it.

As a follow up to this, I feel that if amazon is able to market the phone correctly and is able to get some form of market share since we still do not know its intended users, that would be a great starter. However, the device is still priced to high for what you are getting and can have the appearance of being a gimmick device with no real fortune.

That sounds as a great gadget and the price is not that bad either.

Looks really nice and the price isn't half bad but alas I'm using my good ol' iPhone 5. I might look the amazon phone up when my contract expires though.

They'll market it like they did the Kindle.

"We're Amazon. We have a phone. We know you're going to buy it so just hurry up and give us your money".

If some developers could figure out how to root it, then the phone might have some real value, and lose all the gimmicky features

I got to say I love Amazon's enthusiasm to keep pushing their company's image. I prefer the tablet over the Fire Phone. I'm no longer a customer with AT&T and the phone itself looks like they are in the game of promoting Amazon all around. I have no problem with that as it is a company's job to keep their brand relevant. This will certainly benefit Amazon on the stock market as new products tend to give relative boost to their pocket books. The main concern Amazon should have is Apple. Like Amazon, Apple is continuously making new phones for an eager, technology loving audience. So I don't know how long this new product will keep up their steam, especially if complaints come of the phone being defective in some way.

This phone for me has never really been attractive to me. There is nothing about it that stands out. I don't really see the value of it. Even if I was given this phone for free I don't think I would keep it for a long time. I would consider selling it will give it away to somebody else. It just doesn't have that while factor and also at the same time there is nothing that this phone has unique to it. It doesn't have the class or prestige that I'm looking for in the phone. I'm also looking for a brand-name phone whenever I'm considering getting a phone as it helps boost my ego.

Amazon should have stayed out of the mobile phone market. The Fire phone is doomed to go the way of all the other gimmicky phones with 3D capabilities. Frankly, they would have been better off marketing their Firefly object identification service as an app and leaving it be.

I don't think so really bmarks, I think amazon needs to be in the new techs market and the recently created category for wearables will take them to the next level.
