This will help apple. Apple is all about exclusivity and appealing to the rich, and Beats is a high end company. I think that this is a good investment.

This will definitely help Apple. Especially being that, in my opinion, both Apple products and Beats are extremely overpriced for what they really are.

Sounds just like literally ALL of the COD games. Sure there are new gimmicks and mechanics but in the end it's still the same game.

In my opinion, I think this deal Apple made to buy beats is going to change the way we use our headphones with Apple. I think long-term, the company has plans to change our standard headphones' 3.5mm jack to the Lightning port, with the beats logo on it. This would go in hand with the firmware updates that would require all apple users to use the new headphones that will be released in the future. Basically, it's a smart move by Apple to have all their users be forced to conform to the new headphones.

I personally hate headphones and refuse to wear them, the same way I refuse to wear hats, caps, masks, etc. The only thing I wear above my neck is a pair of sunglasses.

This is why I will never be an Apple fan. Rather than making true unique developments to their products, they simply buy the resources so that competitors cannot utilize them. In teems of making money though, I cannot fault them. I may not agree with the ethics of their actions, but they sure know how to make bank.

As other posters have said, this is a great investment for Apple, Beats have been extremely popular in the last few years, you can't look anywhere without seeing a teenager with some of the brightly colored Beats or every hip-hop music video has the beats pill. If Apple can update their headphones and speakers to Beats, they can appeal to a lot more consumers.

This is a huge step for Apple. Without the guidance of Steve Jobs, the company seems to be at a creative standstill. This type of aquisition is the type of thing that creates the much needed move toward becoming innovative once more.

Personally I think this was a bad purchase by apple - I think with the amount of cash they have they could have spend a little bit more and gone with a truly good company rather than a company like this with overpriced headphones.

I know that Apple is a big company, very popular and makes billions of dollars. I also know that beats headphone are not the best because I owned two of them and they give me a lot of troubles then again, I have bought cheap headphones hence I can’t expect to get gold for my cheap purchases. I know that Apple has the best set of people working in their company and that they will not now any foolish investment. All that I have to do know is to watch and learn.
