She is doing very well, and in the UK there are celebrations in many places. In a time where the news is full of terrorism and election campaigns it's a welcome change.

I know many people are opposed to the monarchy, but it does create some stability and also it's more of a tourist attraction too. I remember being a few inches away from her when I was 7 years old, when she did a walk about in my area. I actually remember the very spot I was held up and I waved a flag at her!

I was opposed to the monarchy, until I found out that all the tourism around the monarchy brings in a ton of revenue for the UK. I still think the whole thing is pretty ridiculous, but as long as they have no real power, I don't have too much of a problem with it. Good to hear she is still doing well at that age.

Well i know her mother, the Queen's Mother lived to a ripe old age, and the queen is apparently following suit. I think at some point she should step aside however, and give Bonnie Prince Charlie a crack at the throne. It must be hard lying in wait your entire life. She can be a retired queen. I once saw Diana and Princess Charles at a mall here in the US but they were just shadowy figures in the car we couldn't get close to them.

Being from the UK, I have mixed opinions on the queen to be honest. While I'm sure she does bring in a lot of revenue to the country, at the same time she takes a lot out of it aswell.

The queen and her family are one of the richest in the world, but it's not as if she's making any difference to 'her people' in her own country, or any other country, so what's the big deal?

Wow, that is a mile stone and let her live on to reach 100. I have not always agreed with everything in the monarchy, but it is a tradition and I have to support that. When I make it to the UK at some point, I plan to tour the royal palaces and such. It would just be neat to see, and if it supports the economy there, why not.

It's weird how certain people can seem to live for years and years. Some say that wealth and an easy lifestyle can help, but I'm not sure. There seems to be longevity in the genes for the Windsors. Elizabeth's mother lasted into a ripe old age. Maybe there's something in the water at Buckingham Palace.....?

Keeping stress low is the common denominator for people that live long lives. I would imagine there isn't a whole lot of stress for the queen. She's never had to worry about paying bills or having a roof over her head lol.

This is definitely a great news. I guess Brits still can't imagine their country without here. And that's for a reason. She's been a queen for so long.
