This tweet surprised me. Compare the three photos, especially the second and third photos of an Iowa rally. Alleged to be taken at a Ted Cruz rally by the Cruz campaign and used for publicity, it is a cropped picture taken at a Trump rally. Whether approved by Cruz or a staff member, that violates ethical press practices I've lived with for more than 3 decades. What else is Cruz and staff lying about? Remember the "Carson went home" business? Not good form.

Politicians faking photos to make themselves look better? No way...that is impossible. These guys will lie about things they said 15 minutes ago. A manipulated photo is just routine stuff for them.

Guys will do anything to win. Cruz knows he needs some shady tactics to overcome the phenomenon that is Donald Trump. Even though I don't like the guy I have to respect Trumps ability to move a crowd. Cruz on the other hand has trouble garnering support.

I think Cruz reaches new levels sleaziness when it comes to politics, and I do not say that lightly. Some of the stuff he has done like the Carson quit inident and the voter punishment letter go over the top. The only thing I can remember that was worse was Bush2000 where he mailed out pictures of McCain with his adopted daughter ( who is black) and the headline read ´would you vote for McCain if you knew he had an illegitimate black child?"... and the had it EVERYWHERE in SC, which is a very racist state.

But Cruz just lies and cheats on such small issues constantly. I can only imagine some of the backdoor stuff he is doing to steal delegates away from Trump right now.

I am surprised that people are surprised. Nothing is strange for politics. It has been like that always and it will be as long as we allow politics in our life. Little photoshopping never killed anyone anyway. People did worse things to gain some publicity and If I told you what they did and still do in my country you would be amazed.

Well, as much as I dislike Trump his whole lying Ted thing, is probably on the money. However, he is probably no different than any other politician, in lying about what is politically expedient, and answering in half truths. He is just playing the "game." What else do you expect from a lawyer?

When the selection is narrowing to 2 or 3, expect the smear campaign to heat up. Now there are followers of Trump insinuating the followers of Ted Cruz are pressing the panic button such that they are resorting to dirty tactics. Well, that dirty tricks department is always present in any elections because candidates and their rabid supporters would do anything to win the race. Maybe Trump has also their own dirty tricks department and the same can be said of Hillary and Bernie Sanders. Expect more fireworks to come.

I'm not surprised, as the Republicans have shown themselves to have had one of the dirtiest campaigns ever. It's just now who can stoop the lowest as far as I can see, and the Americans must ask (sane and intelligent ones I hasten to add), "Is this person suitable to lead a country?" If they don't then America is doomed...

This has been a pretty nasty campaign on both sides. Obviously it's been nastier on the Republican side, mostly because of Donald Trump's petty insults and vulgarity. But the Democratic side hasn't been much better. This is a long tradition in politics though, the dirty campaign. Been going on since the beginning of our country. We're just more tuned into it and aware of it these days with the prevalence of talk radio and cable news. It's just a constant barrage of coverage that makes things seem worse than they really are.
