Hello Everyone! I'm Kay and I live in Oklahoma City. I am new to this website and I am here to learn about investing. I don't have enough money to invest yet, but I certainly have lots of time to invest and I am very sure that investing that time in this community will generate fantastic returns. Now for some information about myself. I LOVE to read. I read every single day and I read all sorts of information. I will admit that I am not a fan of physical media- I do most of my reading on my cellphone because I find it to be a very convenient way to access reading materials. I am especially interested in Politics, Current Affairs, History and Geopolitics. If anyone on here is interested in those topics as well, don't hesitate to contact me- I am always happy to meet new people. I hope to hear from you guys!
Hey there Kay, welcome to the forum! If you don't have money just yet, start by studying where you would invest and see if you'd have return. If that goes well for you when you have money you will know what to do.
Hi there Gelsemium! Thanks for replying to my thread- I really appreciate it. Your advice is exactly what I intend to do... I really do think it is the only way to do things. A wise person once said that "Luck is when preparation meets opportunity" and I believe that truer words were never spoken. I think it is wise to learn about ways to manage money BEFORE you have it, simply because doing so makes it much easier to make smart decisions when you finally get money. The major reason why I hold this view is because I have read far too many stories of people who win the lottery blowing through their winnings and ending up right back where they were, or in some cases- believe it or not, they end up in an even worse position. It really is sad because if these people had taken the time to learn about investing and money management, they would not have ended up like they did. I am determined that I won't end up like that. I don't play the lottery though! So, Gelsemium would you please tell me a bit about yourself? Where do you live? What are your interests?
