At the moment the vote doesn't favour to stay in the EU, it's neck and neck and too close to call either way judging by all of the polls so far. I'm from the UK and a few weeks ago I was undecided but the closer it comes to the vote, the more I'm deciding to vote to leave.

There's so much that we aren't in control of at the moment, and I think a lot of the decisions made in Brussels is directly affecting the UK and holding us back. Switzerland aren't in the EU, and lets be honest, it's not exactly detrimental to that country is it, so I don't think that it would be detrimental to us if we did either.

Being independent in this way is not a good thing actually. You cannot go against everybody in the EU and Britain may be a strong country but it is not that strong and I believe that for the time being It will have difficulties to export some goods because other countries that didn't leave the EU will have advantage over trade. I believe that this would be a quiet embargo by Germany and other powerful members.

Fortunately we're a net importer from Germany, so restricting trade in either direction would not be to their advantage, or the advantage of other states in Europe. In some ways I suspect there will be factions breathing a sigh of relief if Britain does leave, as it means closer and faster integration within the Eurozone is possible without having to try to get the UK into the Eurozone first.

VAT is set at a minimum of 15%, with a reduced rate of not less than 5% allowed. This causes conflict with the UK where our original Purchase Tax was meant to be paid on luxuries so we have zero rates on food, books, and products deemed necessities. It was replaced by VAT on joining the EU, but that's causing problems as, right now, the UK can raise the Vat rates on grandfathered 0%-rate products, but cannot lower them below 5% or create any more 0%-rated necessities (cue the recent row about the tampon tax in the UK: BBC "Why the Tampon Tax is here to stay").

    Trump Backs for Brexit :

Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, has come out in support of Brexit, saying the UK would be “better off” outside of the European Union and lamenting the consequences of migration in the continent.

The billionaire, who secured backing of Republican voters on a staunchly anti-immigration platform, said that his support for the UK leaving the EU was a personal belief and not a “recommendation”.

“I think the migration has been a horrible thing for Europe,” Trump told Fox News late on Thursday. “A lot of that was pushed by the EU. I would say that they’re better off without it, personally, but I’m not making that as a recommendation. Just my feeling.”
“I know Great Britain very well,” Trump continued. “I know, you know, the country very well. I have a lot of investments there. I would say that they’re better off without it. But I want them to make their own decision.”

Hundreds of papers from the secretive trade talks between the US and EU have been released online.
They appear to confirm fears that the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership talks between Brussels and Washington will, when ratified, lead to the health service being privatised or dismantled.

The documents, obtained by Greenpeace Netherlands, include a US proposal to have a committee with representatives from Washington and Brussels to meet each year “to review state-owned enterprises and monopolies” which would include the NHS.
