Now that you've mentioned it FivebyFive, i do remember being left in the car with my cousin when we were small by our mothers for a short-while when they did household shopping and it never took an entire 8 hours, just a few minutes and they were back and for certain they never forgot us....how can one forget their own flesh and blood???

I do not feel any sympathy at all either! It's just horrible that someone would so something like that to a poor infant. There are some messed up people in this world, and that is a good example of one. Hopefully people see this and are extra careful from now on about their children, even though the ones that are messed up in the head are going to do it regardless of what they see.

you got to be some kind of stupid to leave a child in a hot car and strapped to their child seat.

i mean in all cases i don't think it is done intentionally (there may be a few postpartum depression mothers i dont know) but ultimately it is just carelessness and wanting to save time, and/or no common sense.

There was another one yesterday... 10 month old baby died. It's surreal. My local police found a baby in a car last week... no parent to be found. Fortunately that one ended okay because they were able to rescue the baby. I think brain power and critical thinking is being sucked away rapidly.

How common is this? I don't think I've ever seen this kind of news around here, it would take a complete idiot to do something like this.
If I walked past a car and saw a child inside alone I would break the window and call the police immediately.

It is becoming more and more common for some reason. Some guy just got caught gambling for 5 hours and leaving his 98 year old mother in the car! I think the only punishment for people that leave babies and helpless people in hot cars should be that they have to sit in there too and see how they like it! It's really dangerous.

I find it ridiculous that you need a license to own a gun (in some areas) but not a license to have a child. Too many idiotic parents, how the hell do you forget your CHILD in a car?

Exactly what I am saying Paul there are people with no sense at all. Its like we cannot care about anybody but ourselves. Then when something happens people want to blame the world.
