Elon Musk is acting like a fool in my book - just get on with what you are good at. I simply do not understand the need for this continuous publicity which is not exactly positive.

Personally I think the world would be a poorer place without the likes of Elon Musk - people forget what he has done for business, let alone just Tesla. He needs help, he needs support and while there are times when he does not help himself that does not mean he should be hung out to dry by his critics. The recent volatility in the Tesla share price is almost all down to what he has said or done over the last few weeks - it is not good for the head of a company to over shadow the company itself when it comes to news headlines!

Looks to me that Elon Musk needs to take a step back from limelight, get his head down and do what he does best, beating all the odds and creating businesses which change the way we operate.

The last 6 months have put a massive dent in EM's reputation and it will take some rebuilding. Time to get the head down, stay out of the limelight and let results do the talking. Please, please, please stay off Twitter!

Interesting to see that death of privatisation deal was announced on the Tesla blog :)

There are now reports that his inner circle have been jettisoned from the Tesla board - is he losing his grip on Tesla?

Is Elon Musk about to end his love/hate relationship with Wall Street?

Talk that he wished Tesla was private continue to fuel hopes that Tesla will go private at some point. The board could then do whatever they likes for the long term good of the company without short term consequences.

Like many, I have come to the conclusion that Elon Musk and the stock market are just not a good mix. He has always been the maverick investor, the blue sky thinking entrepreneur and more often than not he has been right. The straitjacket of the SEC and his “difficult” relationship with analysts and investors does not bode well for the company.

The simple problem is that entrepreneurs like Elon Musk NEED space to do their own thing without being constrained by short term targets and trying to support share prices. This takes away valuable time from what they do best - thinking outside of the box.

Interesting to see that Elon Musk is puitting his money where his mouth is with what must be the biggest placing investment by a founder EVER.
