I can certainly see the shares falling sub-$250 and potentially nearer $200 than $250 in the short to medium term. It would just take one further setback, whether earnings-based or PR based, for some investors to put their hands in the air and walk away. In the medium to longer term the forced management changes must be good for the company, allowing Elon Musk to focus on what he does best, and the bean counters to look after the figures. Whenever happens to Tesla from here on in, it will still go down as the company which put the electric car market on the map. It would be a shame if Tesla was not around to enjoy this in the longer term but the company is at a critical point in it's life and will require additional funding in the short to medium term.

Love him or hate him, there is no doubt that Elon Musk has produced a stunning set of figures with a quarterly profit of $311 million. However, I would be more interested to see cash flow as opposed to headline profits because this will make or break the company. As there has been no headline news about “cash flow positive” results I would presume the company is still haemorrhaging cash?

One swallow doesnt make a summer - over bought and people seem to be getting too far ahead of themselves.

Elon Musk was once the star attaction, then he turned into the side show and now hopefully he can DO THE BUSINESS behind the scenes. However, I am still not convinced that the company has turned the corner - all a little too much like perfect timing to me, this move into profit and the future is rosy. Doesnt smell right.....

Will the company continue to burn through cash at lightening quick pace? All this mention of profits, etc but no mention of cashflow. We need to see some cashflow forecast figures!

Have the shares found a new level? I see EM is still coming out with unhelpful comments such as it was worth the $20m fine to be able to send his tweet and followup comments. Have we seen the last of his headlines? Nope.......

Whatever could go wrong now the company has addressed management issues, turned profitable and cashflow positive? They still seem to be spending a lot of money on new facilities and I would guess there is an EV price war just around the corner. Interesting times and well managed, so far, by the management in light of the many issues they had before them. Maybe buyout talks are back on?
