Mmmm interesting - if Apple does continue to falter I am sure there will be up and coming tech companies all too happy to challenge some of their markets. Is the premium rating Apple has enjoyed for many years now under pressure?

Well, well, Microsoft is back in the game and Apple under pressure for anti-competitive behaviour. However, I fail to see why a company should not be able to charge its chosen rate for products and services which it provides. If people arent happy they can go elsewhere - seems to discount the billions of dollars invested in these products and services by Apple.

    Update on graph:-

This is a very very bearish graph and I think the bounce off $170 is just a flash in the pan - more selling to follow. Resistance levels at $195 and $210 and support around $170 and $160 but the news flow is terrible and it is hard to see any positive news in the immediate future.

Has the sell-off been overdone? Quite possibly in the short term but until we know the true extent of the cut back in production of new products the short term future is a little hazy.

Might get the chance to buy some cheap Apple stock when the traders panic and sell up :)

Looks to me as though any further market downturn and the Apple share price will crash through the next support. Its only just hanging on now as it is!

Not a friend in the world just now. Next support around $165 then after that who knows!

Will be interesting to see how the company try to control newsflow in the short term. They usually bounce back with some good news to deflect the bad but not this time - well, not yet.

They do say that everything comes to an end at some point but those predicting the death of Apple may be a little premature. Yes, the company is in trouble at the moment and not able to handle news flow like it used to but it still has a huge cash pile and a leading portfolio of products. Maybe, just maybe, this could prompt Apple to spend its huge cash pile and branch out into different areas of business?
