Could the big pharms find themselves in a simialr situation to the tobacco companies when ecigs started to become a threat? If I ran one of these companies I would look to make myself as big pain in the backside of the big phams as possible so that they had to take me out :)

Interesting play this market - the biggest "disrupters" will be the ones which get taken out by the big pharmas. The comparison with ecigs is spot on :)

In all honesty this has been coming for a number of years but is really starting to take off now. Anyone looking to this sector should look at the leaders only, as some of the smaller players will get muscled out of the market. Interesting to see how this develops worldwide.

What interests me is the fact there has been no even partial retracement of the recent share price rise - a sign of great strength. If I was going to buy into these I would buy a partial chunk now and then work the position on future share price movements to create a long term exposure.

weed stocks doing very well and this one and CRON strongest with TLRY being the most volatile!

Interesting. Why has TLRY been left behind?

@gowiththeflow imo TLRYnot as strong as CGC & CRON. fairly recent IPO with low float that was over hyped - lock up recently expired & insiders claimed they were not going to sell but CEO just unloaded 11 Mil lol

Two things there, a low float would put off many institutional investors and these sales are likely to hold the shares back until the buyers return. There was also a smaller sale by another director:-

As the marijuana market pushes ahead - on new regs, opportunities, etc - then in relative terms a static TLRY will fall behind. Keep an eye on this one :)

@Chartman no arguements about TLRY. Still is a farily decent momo play even though i do not believe it will see $300 again any time soon BUT low float aspects does offer some nice $ to be made long or short. Missed $9-$10 per share last Monday which is very good money for most any day trader so definitely might wanna keep an eye it :D
