Musk=heartburn. Gotta pay attention... one can make some change compared to following the S&P. Hopefully 2019 will be better.
Can someone tell me how to correctly insert a image on my Android tablet? Frustrating... <screaming off into the night>
With companies such as Tesla, and people such as Elon Musk, you either need to keep your belief that they will deliver in the long term or look elsewhere. People such as Elon Musk do not get where they are by treading the traditional path, they do their own thing, trample on a few toes and upset people - its called going against the establishment.
Hi @baudwalk This ongoing volatility in the Tesla share price must be playing into your hands when writing options as the premiums must be increased because of the volatility. Nice bit of extra income for you
Looks like $370 - $380 might be the next target - I agree though, the quieter EM is the stronger the share price
I would call this a reality check and not such a bad thing in the long term (assuming the company survives). Interesting article here:- https://www.cnbc.com/2019/01/18/tes...of-the-electric-car-market-says-investor.html However, I see that Elon Musk seems to be taking all of the flack for this - what about the new directors, those leading the "new" Tesla, where are they when the s*** hits the fan?
Funny how the markets were, just a few weeks ago, suggesting that Tesla was not living in the real world re: cashflow, costs, etc. Now the company has come out and cleared the decks it seems this is negative not positive. I think this does clear the decks, prompts the start of a new era for the company and is at least an attempt to start getting a grip on the company's cost/income ratio. Anyone noticed a lack of noise about side show projects such as electric trucks, etc? More focus on the main business.
Bang - there goes my strategy! While I did not see that one coming I do believe, like others, that this is a sensible move longer term. Bizarre that EM is being pushed to the head of the queue again to take the flack from investors.
I agree - either EM is the head man and focal point of the business or not. The new board cant just wheel him out when they feel like it and let him take the flak. I think they forget, without EM Tesla would not be half the company it is today - and going forward. If they push him too far and he walks away, what then?
