I have been trading stocks and shares for years in the UK but Forex is not something I have ever considered, until now.

Where can I start researching Forex trading?

If a person is new in the forex market then first he should take deep education about the forex market, just like what is forex market, what are the factors related to this market. Terms and conditions, process and other relevant information. Demo trading is good for new traders to learn more about the market.

The Forex (Foreign Exchange) Market is the largest market in the world. It is the market where currencies are traded. Each day, more than 4 trillion dollars are exchanged.

Follow the advice of kirtimeliwal. Demo trading is very important. I did use Forexchief demo account before switching to their live account. It is better that way; it helps you get ready for the live conditions.

By the way, why do you decided to turn to the Forex?

From the one point of view, it is much easier to trade Forex. There are less instruments, more information, even more special tools (for example, there are backtesting tools like Forex Tester, which have no analogies for stock markets). At the same time, it is important to keep in mind that Forex states fo OTC trading, so the execution of your trades may be extremely different from those you had in stocks. In fact, you trade against your broker, just remember about it.

Are there any online dummy programs where you can trade virtual currencies until you are ready to step up to the real deal? I know it is different dealing when under real pressure and buying and selling real currencies but a dummy run would be useful.

Just get a good broker like Forexchief and register with the demo program and start practicing there until you feel ready and well prepared to trade live. When you want to go live, get their free $100 no deposit bonus first and practice without risk.
