I wonder if Elon Musk will get bored, now he has been locked in a darkened room and not able to grab the gaze of the public Joking aside, he is still the difference between the success and failure of Tesla. Would you gamble your house on Elon Musk and his wild mood swings?
Interesting to see comments suggesting that the likes of Honda have failed to make the most of the EV revolution. Must all play into the hands of Tesla?
Looks to me like the market is waiting for new guidance for the short to medium term. The news flow from the company has reduced dramatically since EM was pushed into the background.
So Tesla is cutting costs to the bone, getting rid of the luxuries so it can make the Model 3 profitable at $35,000 - this is what the market has been crying out for and the shares have been hit. Why? https://www.theguardian.com/technol...huts-stores-as-it-shifts-to-online-only-sales Are there more telling issues going on behind the scene? Is the company running short of cash?
Reading the press it looks like EM may have made a big mistake here. Many people who have bought Model 3's at the higher price are extremely annoyed as their cars have effectively been devalued overnight. Will Tesla pay them compensation?
Is the market expecting another cash call? This company is a nightmare to follow, just when you think it is over the worst, BANG, something else happens. Personally I think the recent cost cutting exercises are the correct thing in the longer term but might create a major short term financial hit. Are we approaching takeover territory?
Personally I think Tesla is doing all of the right moves in the short term to reduce expenses going forwards. There will be short term pain, of that there is no doubt, but if the company makes it through relatively unscathed then it is a whole different ball game
We could easy see a bounce to $300 and then it will start to get tricky with all kinds of resistance. Personally I agree with others, Tesla is doing the right thing (what investors were demanding) but still getting slaughtered. Strange world that we live in.
Looking at the chart $320 would take the share price above and beyond the lines of resistance - interesting. Takeover anyone?
