Had to go look for this article which is an interesting read imo >> The Media's Story About Tesla Is Wrong, Facts Tell Another - https://cleantechnica.com/2019/05/31/the-media-is-telling-one-story-about-tesla-facts-tell-another/
While that is a very interesting article, if the argument is that Tesla is being under rated by the press then perhaps the opposite is true of the last couple of years - the stock and prospects were over rated? Personally I think Tesla should be private at this stage of the company's development. A minute spent wondering about short term shareholder targets is a minute the company will never get back. Sad to see the press have finally got their target, Elon Musk, who is being hung out to dry by many many different parties.
Some analysts starting to turn positive:- https://finance.yahoo.com/news/why-...ZWfwFFswBXPa2_DdbUbHr--rKr_Oh39eJRpUorT00HwI2
I wonder what we can expect from Tuesday's meeting? https://www.marketwatch.com/story/t...fork-in-the-road-for-the-car-maker-2019-06-07 The shares have bounced strongly.
Looking back, the share price graph shows the constant battle the company continues to have with analysts and investors - time fighting these fires could be much much better spent focusing on the company's actual business.
I will be short and sweet here - still not buying. The huge sell-off at the bottom of a downtrend has not emerged yet - watch out!
At this moment in time it is difficult to see any significant recovery in the share price as these tend to attract short-term sellers. The company has tried everything, fundraising, cost-cutting, more focus and even significantly reducing employee numbers. What do investors and analysts want the company to do?
While there is no doubt that Tesla is a very tradeable stock, if you get the direction wrong you could be in serious trouble. Until the future is a little clearer, and less complicated, I will not be touching this one.
Could this be the start of a major recovery? I am not sure - still the company has not mapped out detailed plans for the short to medium term. They need to start making money on cars, not losing money as the rumours suggest. Watch out though, competition is on the way!
