There is talk of fraud and all kinds of different accusations flying about at the moment. Is this bellwether of the stock market on its knees or the victim of a well orchestrated short campaign?
Oh how the mighty have fallen! The problem with allegded fraud with companies such as GE is that further investigations can tend to throw up other issues. On the flipside, what is the breakup value of the company? Surely the vultures are already circling?
We are seeing more and more of the old giants who have failed to move with the times and are now paying the price. Arrogance or just a misunderstanding of modern day technology?
You get the impression that some investors automatically assume that General Electric will snap back into fashion, the share price will rise and we will be off and running again. I’m not too sure.
I am not sure I would be jumping in here just yet until I knew everything mentioned over the last few months has been addressed. Why would someone make such serious allegations without at least some evidence? All very strange.
Looks to me like the stockmarket is waiting for a prompt from the company as to which way the shares will move. Treading water just now.
Some how I dont think that all of the bad news is out of the way yet. Every time the shares threaten a partial recovery the sellers come in.
