It looks like the coronvirus is now out of control and has finally emerged in sub-sahara Africa which is worrying. Once the virus gets into countries with suspect healthcare system it could run riot.

Unfortunately, like flu, I think the world will just need to learn to live with coronavirus as we will eventually build up immunity. Markets will eventually level out but at the moment there is just no visibility about what will happen next.

There is talk that the virus will return every year like flu although the difference going forward is that we will have a degree of immunity - but unfortunately not everyone.

Italy and Spain seem to be topping out (looks like Spain could end up worse than Italy!) with the UK potentially making progress but the next few days will tell. The US is the worry and potential onward transmission of the virus to places such as Mexico (and south America) and Canada.

Recent figures suggest that we could see a huge number of deaths in the US although today there was some hope with figures from Italy appearing to top out and the UK, well there are hopes we are nearing the peak. Surely the US must be in talks with overseas counterparts to see which actions worked best for them?
