Looks like Netflix is benefitting from the virus - having to wind down the quality of internet transmissions due to bandwidth shortages. We live and learn
While many might look at those signing up to Netflix in isolation as a short term bounce, I am not sure. I think that many of us sign up to services then we cant be bothered to cancel our membership. I think this is something that Netflix will benefit from hugely in the short, medium and longer term.
When markets bottom out perhaps it would be an idea to switch Netflix into Roku? Just prior to the stock market collapse, Netflix’s competitor was seen by many as a better prospect going forward. It looks as though Netflix has benefited from its strong brand name in the short term but might a switch be lucrative in the long term?
Well, looks like Netflix is benefiting from the lockdown - what happens when we are all let free again? Will the company be able to hold onto the vast majority of new subscriptions?
People are getting way way carried away with Netflix - yes people are signing up in the lock down but once that is over, how many new sign-ups will they retain? Lets not forget they were making a mess of the business just a few weeks ago. This is one to short as and when we see another lurch upwards.
Wow this share just keeps going up and up - I think this must be an all time high for the share price? Who would have thought ANY share hitting an all time high in the midst of this deadly virus. Will the share come back to earth with a bump when things return back to "normal" if indeed they ever do.
I think that Roku offers far better value than Netflix at the moment. Let's not forget that Netflix was in a real mess earlier this year when the share price collapsed. Have investors really got that short a memory?
