The impact on the US population will be catastrophic and a lot of this is down to the way DT totally ignored the problem in the early days. Is it simply a case of too little too late as the US looks set to register Covid-19 numbers greater than that of China!

If DT had acted quicker on Covid-19 I think the markets would have been a little less volatile but this virus has the potential to over run US hospitals and take out a LOT of people. Did this just lose DT the next presidential election?

It does look as though a little more confidence is leaking back into the market but this looks very fragile a moment. We need to start seeing US figures plateau and then fall because the constant turmoil of New York has scared a lot of people.

It looks as though a degree of confidence is returning to the market but I am not convinced. It would just take a set of shocking death figures for reality to hit home again. Suckers rally?

Fools and their money are easily parted - looks to me like the "clever" investors are yet again discounting the short, medium and long term financial hit as a consequence of Covid-19. Too soon, too soon!

Many of use traders will be glad of the break although in the back of our minds we will be thinking - what will we return to on Tuesday. Things can move so quickly with this pandemic.

Is it fair to say we have seen the worst of the recent market falls? A lot will depend if we have a second wave of Covid-19 in the winter time when the temperature is more accommodating for the virus. You would hope (pray to god) that we are more prepared the next time anything like this emerges.

We are seeing record coronavirus infection rates in some states but many businesses and politicians acting as if we are "back to normal". Surely the inevitable second wave is coming and the ignorance of the US government is very alarming. Shouting louder and louder and pretending it isn't happening doesn't work. When will people wake up?

There are now reports of coronavirus second waves in many countries around the world and the WHO today announced the biggest one day leap in infections. The world needs to wake up to the real threat of a second wave.
