The Namibian legal counsel of the company and its subsidiary, Haib Minerals Pty. Ltd., have filed an application on behalf of Haib with the High Court of Namibia for an order reviewing the decision of the Minister of Mines and Energy refusing the renewal of Haib's licence EPL 3140 covering the Haib copper project in Namibia. The application also seeks an urgent interdict aimed at preventing the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Namibia from granting a licence over the same licence area to anyone else.

The minister has no othe choice but to meet with John H. Akwenye, Chairman, Director

The Ministry of Mines has denied its EPL renewal citing Deep-South’s inability to advance the EPL to prefeasibility study (PFS) stage and to complete the proposed drilling programme as planned.

However, in a statement, Deep-South points out that it kept the ministry well apprised, with no objection on its part, of a proposed change from the PFS to an upgraded preliminary economic assessment, as well as the start of a full feasibility study.

Further, Deep-South says the Ministry of Mines and Energy issued all permits required for the drilling programme and is “well aware” that the company has completed the programme.

Confidente reported last week that Deep-South had said that it has demonstrated to Alweendo that, during the past two tenures (from April 2017 to April this year), it invested N$23 million with the completion of, besides other elements, a National Instrument 43 101 resource estimation, a PEA, a large 2t sampling and bio heap-leach test, geological mapping, modelling and an upgraded PEA.

.....This is a classic case of a Ministry lacking business intelligence

    https://smallcaps.us/high-level-mee...lated-to-renewal-of-license-for-haib-project/

Deep-South was on track to deliver on all of the planned requirements to move the project forward until an unexpected setback was reported last week.

If you haven’t sold your shares yet, consider holding on to them, as the price has dropped dramatically. It is important to remember that the Company isn’t dead. It has several millions of dollars in the bank, with which it can acquire and develop other properties while the Haib issue is being handled in court. Smallcaps Recommendation: HOLD.

...............You may consider to average down to benefit from the next up leg to come
