It was just announced today that GOOG OS has a security issue that could cause hackers to take over your phone or tablet.

Is this something you're using? I'm not, but things like this always interest me because I'm curious about how it could get so far without anyone having noticed a serious security flaw like this before.

If I'm understanding the problem, it has something to do with how Android fails to check that apps are genuine. (Termed "FakeID" for a good reason!) Oh, this affects version 2.1 and higher (released in early 2010.)

I used to have a Google MyTouch but It was too slow and I wouldn't have kept it too long. It was just temporarily since my other phone broke and I had no warranty.

Yes, I have Google Android and I just have heard of this yesterday. I'm actually scared if my private information may hack by them. I'm thinking of switching to Iphone.

Well if this is a problem for all Android devices, then I'm sure it will be corrected extremely fast, this is Google we're talking about.
OS's always have little problems popping up but they are always patched.

I don't think we have much to worry about because it's Google. They will get it patched up and fixed in no time.

Don't be too brash. They'll have this fixed in no time if it isn't already.
