I use to watch it a lot, but after awhile they got repetitive and I lost interest. Extreme hose make over is good. It's a total change from before and after.
I watch a few and I find them really entertaining, especially those that sell houses for millions, the houses of rich people, I can only dream.
A while back, there was a program that used to air every Sunday at 5pm covering the real estate market trends. They were even providing tips on how to increase the value of your home. They also brought to the attention of the viewers available houses that provide a payment plan easy on the pocket. It was very informative.
I don't think I've ever seen any real estate shows, just some on MTV showing how much some houses cost, but that isn't the show that could interest me because I can never afford those places.
I don't because I feel a lot of it is staged or sometime the episode is one big ad for a company. I know a couple who were on House Hunters--they had basically already made their decision but the show picked out two other homes for them to consider for TV. The only show I feel is pretty legit is extreme makeover home.
I like watching real estate shows. I like seeing the different houses and what they offer. I also like Extreme Makeover because it is amazing how they destroy the old house and build a new one in a week.
I've heard about HD tv but I've never really watched it, what I do is look up homes online. Not watching real estate shows is somehow very strange for a real estate lover like myself, maybe I should begin to watch real estate then shows after all.
I'm not keen on the real estate shows at all. They are so unrealistic. They tend to feature people with extremely high budgets who have all this free time. They never seem to show something your average overstretched family could ever afford to do.
I used to watch quite a few of them but I became a little dishearted by Property Brothers. Yes I find them to be soo cute but the biggie that comes into play is when they show the home after they are finished, not mentioning how the network puts in 10's of thousands of dollars towards the renovations and makes the potential guests go through a ridiculous credit check in order to even be on the show. I used to watch Extreme Home Makeover but I became dishearted from watching it after a friend of mine got her house redone and later lost the house ( like many of the other contestants) due to the price of property taxes. They don't tell you when they redo the houses, get a new home property value evaluation and the home price increases that the homeowner is responsible for the taxes. So someone who makes only 15 thousand a year living in a shack, whom just got a renovation through the show has to pay the tax on the newly remodeled million dollar property
