I have reach the conclusion after watching many videos of the airstrikes in Syria and Irag that; A) We had enough ammo built up to kill Russia 100x over. B) Bombs and missiles are on clearance. C) Some company must be making a killing (no pun intended) off these things. I'm no logistics expert, but that must be some kind of money being spent on cruise missiles, LGBs, and jet fuel. My question is, what company is all this money going to? XD
My dad works for Lockheed and sometimes talk about a few works the company has done. They are a huge defense contractor industry so it makes sense for all these weapons especially missiles to come around. So if a missile or jet is being made it would be from them.
Em I use to date a girl who's grandpa worked for Lockheed, Grunman, Gulfstream, and Boeing. This man even helped develop the B-2 Spirit. He had tons of sketches and pictures of the original prototype. He even told me the type of materials it was made out of...but I have long since then forgotten. He was a pretty nice guy but sadly passed earlier this year.
That is quite interesting I mean it is amazing working for these companies. I never seen any sketches for actual prototypes for ships and planes. Seeing one of those designs would be something memorable.
I'm pretty sure it was Boeing that actually built a fake city over top of a factory they had that was building bombers and fighter planes on the West Coast during World War 2. I am heavy and long with Boeing stock and thought about buying Ratheon because we are going to be using more and more ordinance to take out the Islamic terror groups around the world. I don't see a end in the near future.
Here it is, it was the Boeing B17 Plant in Seattle http://news.domain.com.au/domain/real-estate-news/the-suburb-that-never-existed-20110708-1h6jr.html Very Cool.
I'm sure there is more than one company that makes bombs, missles and other military weaponry. Somebody has to make it. I don't know why some people try to make it out to be some type of conspiracy when we get involved in foreign conflicts, as if people shouldn't be paid to provide our nation with the defense weapons it needs to survive and thrive in the 21st century.
Most of the big defence contractors have already been mentioned. Also keep in mind that though many of these companies make all kinds of weapons, it's almost always just a part of their business. But yes, I'd highly recommend everyone to have some defence sector stocks in their portfolio as they provide some sort of a hedge against most conflict situations that affect the market negatively.
