... of why it's good to have the right to bear arms: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...sissippi-inmate-shot-killed-article-1.2559623
Bingo, bango. Free men and women have the right to keep and bear arms for a reason. Not the least of which to protect themselves from the scum of society like the deceased in this story. It is too bad the anti-RKBA pukes can't seem to figure that one out.
It makes a lot of sense to have the right to bear arms. Protecting and defender yourself is a key part of survival. The authorities should just put the measures in place so that fit and proper persons get firearms licences.
There was an armed robbery near where I lived. The person who was robbed got jumped, and the thief took of running. He was 100 yards away, and the guy being robbed pulled out his gun and delivered a headshot to a guy 100 yards away on the move. That being said.. for every story like this there is another story of some idiot mom leaving a loaded weapon in the backseat of the car and getting shot in the lower back by her 4 year old.
Funny I should read this today. Today the UK celebrates 20 years without a single school shooting. 20 years.
Another way of putting that, is that it was 20 years ago today that the massacre at Dunblane took place, so while I understand the sentiment behind what you say, I think you may have spun your words a little to make your point. I'm still undecided about this right to bare arms, as I think in some circumstances and situations then it does provide security for people, but with the increase in idiots around these days, we are hearing stories of shootings happening when they shouldn't be.
I read about this story. Good riddance to that piece of human filth. That's all I really have to say about that. Best believe that once I have my own home, I'm getting licensed and will do everything I can to protect the homestead.
