No sooner than the White House is taken off lockdown for an apple attack (http://www.bullmarketboard.com/thre...hrown-Over-Fence-Puts-White-House-on-Lockdown), we have a new incident that falls in the idiocy trap of can't make it up, paranoia, stupidity, and overreacting. Depending upon the version of the story one reads, a radiosonde with a parachute or the balloon itself landed in Philadelphia. Despite a label explaining what the package was, with instructions to mail (prepaid) the radiosonde back to the NWS, residents called out the city bomb squad. The NWS releases 70,000 radiosondes a year. Nervous? Yup! https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...car-in-philadelphia-and-is-mistaken-for-bomb/ http://www.weather.com/news/news/weather-instrument-radiosonde-philadelphia http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/nov/23/philadelphia-weather-balloon-device-bomb-squad
Paranoia at it's finest. "Honey what's this? It has instructions that it's a weather balloon" "Get away from it dear! It could be a bomb! Call 911!"
