Are things meant to be?

    I am of the opinion that some things were predestined to happen while others are a consequence of your actions. For instance, you didn't choose your country of birth or even your parents. On the other hand, you are where you are because of what you did yesterday, yesteryear, you get the thrust. A single action can have huge implications and endless possibilities. An example is deciding to play the lottery resulting in a win. So I try to be good so that good actions will manifest in my future life trajectories.

    People who believe in reincarnation believe that everyone chooses where they'll be born and who their parents will be in their next life. If someone was to learn some lessons and they believe growing up somewhere will aid them in that pursuit they'll want that but they forget what they wanted [once they get here] and start complaining when their life gets to be hard. Life is a mystery . . .
