I don't think Sanders is more electable. Hillary would have an advantage because though most people might dislike her if more women and other people decide to vote for her [because they want a change: a woman president] then on those grounds alone she's more electable.

There's a high likelihood though that since some conservatives and many independents would vote for Sanders this could give him an edge over the Republican presidential nominee [whoever it would be].

 

I think his policies are straightforward and appeal to many, it's what people want to hear. However, implementing them and paying for them is another matter and Sanders admitted taxes would have to go up to pay for all of these new policies.

Given that there is a Republican majority in Congress, most of his proposed policies would get stalled, so the electorate need to look at what candidate can actually get their policies passed in Congress to have any effect. Sadly Sanders ideals are not aligned with the current Congress majority and that's what people need to consider.

 

I'm no political scientist, by my opinion is that Hillary Clinton has the his history-making edge of being the first female president of the US. Along side that is the history making fact that IF she were elected president it would be the first and probably only time a current president and a former president were in the White House at the same time (as a married couple). This will not not happen anytime soon unless Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, or Barbara Bush ran for president and got elected, all of which are highly unlikely. Not to mention, having a former president, someone who is familiar with the job, to talk to about work every night. This along side her experience (tainted though it may be) will make her hard to beat. But like I said, this is just my opinion. I am not a political scientist!!

 

The latest polls, released earlier today, shows Bernie Sanders is polling ahead of Hillary in New Hampshire and is statistically tied with her in Iowa. Three weeks to Iowa; we shall see. I expect Sanders will win NH (neighboring Vermont), but I would expecf Hillary to win SC. I still don't understand how can anyone support an Alinsky-Cloward-Piven progressive, seeking to continue the transformational mess initiated by Obama and his czars, who is under federal investigation for violating the same federal regulations that convicted David Petraeus. A news report suggests the pressure on the FBI investigation has increased in light of the latest email batch released.

 

Before anyone casts a vote, on both sides, they are always infatuated with the ´outsider´. Bernie has no negatives because nobody has bothered to talk about him.

Hillary has negatives, but she also has a machine in place for getting out voters. Bernie may win one or both of the early states because he has been camping in them.. but once the ball gets rolling, Hillary´s machine will take over.

Although it would be crazy-interesting to watch Bernie vs Trump where in the world would the middle 40% of the country go.
