I also tend to side with state's rights and surprisingly with Bill Clinton here. Pot gets a far more negative connotation than alcohol because it's a "Drug" but studies have shown it's not much more harmful, if at all than alcohol. I also think there's a revenue stream available for legalizing pot and helping boost local economies. If you legalize pot as well, you can restrict the amount of use to operate vehicles, like alcohol and help prevent any accidents that happen that way. This topic seems best decided at the local and state level and with the people living in the states.
I find that odd, especially with an issue as controversial as this one, you'd think that the government would want to handle legalization. Isn't the point of a central government to help rule over the states anyways?
