ISIS fighters eager to get married wired $3,300 to three Chechen women who were posing as jihadi brides on social media. Once they'd received the money, the women deleted their social media accounts and pocketed the money. The story doesn't have a happy ending though. Chechen authorities don't condone fraud. The three women will face fraud charges and may be locked for 6 years.

    Justice. I like it.

Wow, so they actually conned ISIS? They have to be brave, but surely justice does exist even if the people that were conned are... terrorists?!

A crime is a crime regardless of who the victim might be. Fail to deal with this now and many Chechens would think scams are a great way to make fast cash. Considering the fact that there are lots of ISIS sympathizers in Chechnya it wouldn't be long before the scammers start being targeted by them [ISIS sympathizers, that is]. To be honest though, I wouldn't mind seeing ISIS lose more money thusly.

Poor Chechen women, tsk, tsk. But I got a great laugh with that con game they did against those ISIS. When I read what ISIS does to get recruits, I realized that they have trained people in marketing techniques to have the skills in convincing strangers. But this time, those smart Chechen women were able to put one over those ISIS. That money is big deal here and more likely those conned ISIS are now suffering the consequence of their gullibility. Better luck next time, guys.

I am all against con artists and I am against the whole notion of it, but the fact that they conned ISIS and they conned the most hated group in the world at the moment is kind of awesome haha.

Hey, a crime is a crime, regardless of the situation, as terrible as that is.

How in the world do terrorists get conned?!...I thought such people were not naive, whatever happened to the saying 'sample the goods first before paying'...as for those women, they must be really brave, a word of advice for them as they face prison time, 'watch your back...ISIS might just issue out a sizzling hot vendetta for that con/scam!

Whatever they'd seen on social media was good enough for the terrorists I suppose. And since others before them have been successful ["importing" brides from Europe] it's a 50-50 gamble for them. They could get what they want and if they don't they can try again another time. Maybe after a year.
That certainly is something that should worry them. A jihadi could go after them once they are out of prison.
