I had observed main roads in Metro Manila to have mostly commercial establishments but no parking area. That means their clients would be using the side of the road for parking. It is illegal in some streets but it is the practice. Maybe if there would be a law against street parking, new structures for commercial rental would have a parking area of their own. What if an ordinance is suddenly passed which prohibits street parking? Those commercial establishment would lose their clients.
