I just read over an interesting article in Fortune magazine and thought I'd pass it along. I'm not entirely sure I buy it, but it is an interesting read. Cheers. A computer just predicted this party will win the White House in 2016
Having taken 9 statistics courses in college back in the early 1960s, I'm usually suspicious of statistical studies. The Reuters analysis hurts my brain at this late hour. This http://www.physics.csbsju.edu/stats/display.html offers some thoughts on figures. Huff's book "How To Lie With Statistics" was required reading for one of the courses, and I probably should reread it now.
It wouldn't surprise me if a Republican wins the elections next year. Obama might not be to blame for most of the Democrats woes but fact is their best candidate was an Obama "buddy" and few people trust her as much as they did a few months ago. Question though is who will the Republican presidential nominee be? Bush maybe?
I like reading these statistics. They may not be accurate but they are a good read and interesting to see what they have to say. I thinking also that they may have gotten it right with a Republican prediction. Time will tell I guess!
This is propaganda obviously. Everyone knows the conservatives control the media. It's all mindless brainwashing these days it's best just to see to the end of this election and vote wisely with the platform and associates of the candidates in mind. Trump's face still bothers me.
Huh? You sure? Gotta have a source on this one. Or I gave been brainwashed in my adult life that the liberal loons run most of the print and television media. The last bastion of conservative media are the talk shows on AM radio.
^. This. Talk radio and Fox News may be exceptions, but the big networks, almost all print media, and an incalculable number of web-base outlets are heavily left leaning.
The media I believe is controlled by the elite. It's them who choose who gets to be president and it appears like they want the Republicans to win this election. I mentioned somewhere on the board that rumors had it that the election was going to be rigged. The best way to prepare Americans for the inevitable is by using such propaganda — predictions that the GOP will be victorious.
The problem with statistics is that it is 100% math based and it does not take into account mistakes and human error. Tomorrow someone from the GOP could do something really stupid and everyone will turn on the candidates. As we get closer to the elections people will start to make mistakes or more Skeletons are going to come out of more closets. I just say we sit back and let this all ride out like it is going to.
I saw something on facebook not long ago. There is a company that has correctly predicted every election since the early 1900's that says the Dems will win by a large margin. I guess it depends on what source you are using. I guess we will see in Nov. 2016 what actually happens!
