http://english.caixin.com/2016-01-19/100900929.html Reports like this always make me suspicious there is so much more to the story. Whether we will ever learn the real story is open to debate. I suspect we will not. The Chinese economy, the travails of the CSRC and PBOC, the propping of the currency, the disappearences and the arrests of financial market executives and the stock market collapse combine to make a malstrom that is overflowing its banks. The movie may rival some of the best shake-and-bake disaster flicks ever made. Will Godzilla invade the mainland? Stay tuned.
http://www.scmp.com/business/market...ncial-regulator-too-much-power-and-too-little ... headlines the South China Morning Post newspaper. There are differences of opinion among the State Council and the CSRC. Xiao Gang is a deer in headlights for bungling the market circuit breakers. A former senior regulator is speaking out, and he has much to say. This piece is an interesting read and adds background to the Caixn story. Recommended.
