I hardly ever purchase music anymore unless I really like the song, then I put it on my iPod. I mainly use Sirius and Pandora these days. When you create your own stations, the songs are normally good.
I used to buy albums of my favorite artists but these days I Spotify a lot. It's just much more cheaper and practical and most players are USB jacked and no longer support CDs and the like.
I hardly ever listen to music these days and when I do I get my music on youtube. There are hundreds of thousands of songs one can listen to free on youtube. If I like a song I could bookmark the URL and get back to it later any time I want to listen to that song again. But I do have a few old CDs which I occasionally listen to but won't buy anymore because to be honest there's hardly any great music being made these days. .
I also never buy CD's anymore to be honest and I haven't done for a few years now. I do have an iTunes account with a few downloads on their but even that as fallen by the wayside, and now most of my music is downloaded for free off various sites, and stored on a cloud server. The quality might not be of the same standard but I listen to a lot of music and so it's saving me a lot of money, and that's my main concern to be honest.
I haven't bought a CD since 1999. So that goes to show you don't have to spend money on hard copies anymore. What I do is go to youtube and listen to my music from there. Everything is at your fingertips. You're paying for internet anyways, so why not just go to youtube and listen to it there. With the latest downloading software you can download the entire video and add it to your library
I am the same way, except I have found myself buying vinyl a lot recently. Records are just so cool to have. Holding the artwork in your hand is just so cool.
Supporting the artist seems to be a fading trend nowadays haha. I understand why people don't buy CD's as much anymore because they're pretty inconvenient.
