It is hard to say what would happen next but I guess Facebook has a following, it actually has the biggest following in the internet. And you know, peoplle who are easily duped to share in posting items, a rumor can set fire to that search engine - Facebook will close all accounts that do not use the search engine. That simple disclaimer can spread like wildfire and make Facebook's search engine number 1. That's a scenario that is possible to happen and to think that it can be started by a mere rumor.
Hmm what a great move from Facebook but how will they influence me, a user who barely uses Facebook and so much so their search engines to use it? There's always Google the trusty search engine and overlord of the internet. This kind of advancement will be good for them and pre-existing users who use their engines all the time but if they really wanted to get more users they should infiltrate China and other communist/socialist countries who don't allow FB and let go of this search engine nonsense. Stick to what they know, right?
